A kindergarten without windows and "flying" cars on the playground: new details of the missile strike on Kyiv, photos and video

On Wednesday night, Dec. 13, Russian occupation forces attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles. All of the enemy targets were destoyed, but falling debris damaged high-rise buildings, a hospital, a kindergarten, cars and injured more than 50 people.

The situation was commented on by Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko in his Telegram-channel.

We should note that Dniprovsky district of the capital took the main hit. The Head of the city came there and spoke to residents.

According to him, the debris of a ballistic missile fell into the parking lot of an apartment building leaving a huge crater afterward. Parked cars flew off for dozens of meters.

"As a result, both the house and the kindergarten located nearby were damaged. Parked cars were burned, and windows in nearby houses and the school were blown out. Residents of the damaged house were promptly evacuated," he said.

The operatives are working at the scene and after their permission people will be able to take the necessary things from their apartments, and the utility workers will temporarily cover the broken glass with a film. Further an expert examination will be, in order to determine the degree of destruction.

"If the load-bearing constructions of the building are undamaged, we will promptly restore it and residents will be able to return to their appartments as soon as possible.

If the damage is critical, we will consider the option of capital reconstruction of the building. The kindergarten will also have to be restored," Klitschko emphasized.

He also added that the city authorities will provide temporary accommodation for residents during the reconstruction. The rescue service has also set up a heating station at the location.

To remind, the falling debris demaged four apartment buildings, four residential houses and public buildings in Holosiivsky, Darnytsky, Desniansky and Dniprovsky districts. In particular, a kindergarten building was reported damaged: the facade of the building was ruined and windows were smashed. Currently, 53 people are known to have been injured, including six children. 18 people were hospitalized. In addition, 19 cars were damaged, 4 of which were completely destroyed. 35 residential houses remain without electricity, as a result of damage to power lines caused by rocket fragments, in Dniprovsky district. The power supply is expected to be restored by 14:00.
