Hillary Clinton denied rumors of being Bloomberg’s running mate

During a Clinton Global Initiative event in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Hillary Clinton denied rumors of being Michael Bloomberg’s vice-presidential candidate.

“Oh, no. I’m just waiting and watching as this plays out. I will support whoever the nominee is because I think, for all the reasons you can imagine, and here in Puerto Rico there are many, we need to have a new president for our country,” she replied to whether she’d consider being the former New York mayor’s VP shall he win the Democratic Party’s nomination.

The Bloomberg-Clinton speculations have actively spread in the media after Matt Drudge’s report suggested that Bloomberg had conducted internal polling, which illustrated that such a duo “would be a formidable force to take on Trump in the race for the White House”. According to Drudge’s sources, Bloomberg even considered changing his official residence to Colorado or Florida "since the electoral college makes it hard for a POTUS and VPOTUS from the same state."

While former First Lady and Secretary of State disputed the rumors, she said she never says never on Ellen DeGeneres’ show a bit earlier.
