President of the Republic of Moldova paid an official visit to Ukraine

On Tuesday, January 12, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had an official meeting with the President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu, who is currently in Ukraine with an official visit, as was reported by the official website of the President of Ukraine press service.

After the anthems of Ukraine and Moldova were played, Volodymyr Zelensky and Maia Sandu introduced members of the Ukrainian and Moldovan delegations.

The presidents had a vis-a-vis meeting and planned the negotiations. Following the negotiations, bilateral documents are to be signed.

As Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on the Breakfast with 1 + 1 program, one of the key points of the negotiations will be the situation in Transnistria. He stressed that the views of Ukraine and the current leadership of Moldova on the settlement of the Transnistrian problem coincide.

"This is exclusively a question of territorial integrity, ie Transnistria must return to the Moldovan state, and Russia must withdraw its troops," he said.

As was reported by “Apostrophe”, the Moldovan delegation, which arrived in Kyiv, included 12 people. Among the people arrived are Secretary-General of the Office of the President, advisers, and other politicians, as well as the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine Ruslan Bolbochan.
