Russian President Vladimir Putin responded to the proposal of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to meet on the front line in the Donbas. On Thursday, April 22, answering a journalist's question after negotiations with Alexander Lukashenko, Putin said that he agrees to meet with Zelensky. However, the meeting will take place in Moscow.
According to Vladimir Putin, he is ready to meet with Zelensky in Moscow if the latter wants to discuss bilateral relations between Russia and Ukraine.
"There have been a lot of steps to destroy our relationship, which we can only regret. But if President Zelensky wants to start restoring this relationship, we will only welcome such a decision. The question is: what do we want to discuss at this meeting? If we are talking about the problems in Donbas, then first of all the leadership of Ukraine should meet with the leaders of the republics of the LPR and the DPR, and after that it should be discussed with representatives of third countries," Putin said.
