"The construction of Nord Stream 2 will be completed next week," Rainer Zele, who left the post of head of the Austrian company OMV on September 1 has stated, in an interview with the publication.

When asked about the start date of the gas supplies through the pipeline, Zele replied: "Until the end of the year. That's what Alexei Miller said. And I can reaffirm his forecast.”
During the meeting with the pedagogical community of St. Petersburg, on Monday, September 6, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has also noted that the Nord Stream 2 will be completed in a few days, TASS reports.
On Monday, September 6, Nord Stream 2 operating company “Fortuna” announced the completion of welding of the final pipe of the Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline’s two lines. In addition ot was stated that the company will soon lower it to the seabed.
The company aims to start operating the undersea pipeline, which will pump Russian gas to Germany, by the end of the year, it said.
