Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the President of Microsoft

In New York, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Microsoft President Brad Smith.

This was reported by the press service of the President's Office.

Zelenskyy briefed on Ukraine's achievements in the implementation of digitization and prospects for the development of the national IT market. He noted that one of the best tax and legal regimes for IT companies is currently being created in our country.

The interlocutors discussed ways to deepen cooperation with Microsoft and implement joint projects.

"We are interested in further expanding Microsoft's presence in Ukraine and deepening cooperation in the context of the digital transformation of our country," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the construction of infrastructure for cloud services in Ukraine.

"We are building a digital state, and it is extremely important to us that the data of Ukrainians be stored in cloud services in Ukraine," the President said.

The Head of State invited Microsoft to consider the possibility of creating the infrastructure of the Azure data center in our country.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Brad Smith discussed the involvement of Microsoft in the development of an electronic voting system, as well as products using artificial intelligence technologies.

In addition, the parties touched upon the issues of establishing cooperation in the development of anticorruption programs for public authorities in Ukraine, combating disinformation and cybersecurity.

The President invited the President of Microsoft to visit Ukraine at his convenience.
