EU aid to Ukraine is insufficient: Scholz makes important statement

Ukraine's European allies have planned "insufficient" military aid for 2024 to fight Russian aggression.

This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in an interview with Die Zeit.

The politician believes that the amounts that European states have so far provided for the current year are not yet large enough.

"In this regard, I am just holding a lot of telephone conversations with my colleagues and ask them to do more," he said.

Scholz said it would be presumptuous to believe that Germany could do it on its own in the long term.
