For the first time in history: Ukraine will receive military aid from a partially recognized country

Partially recognized Kosovo will transfer mortar shells, trucks, tactical and armored vehicles to Ukraine.

This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Kosovo, Ejup Maqedonci, during a meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine.

"Kosovo continues to support Ukraine in its heroic war against Russian aggression. Today at the UDCG meeting, I announced our second package of military aid for Ukraine, consisting of mortar rounds," he said.

According to Maqedonci, Ukraine will receive the first package, which will include trucks, tactical and armored vehicles, next week.

As a reminder, at the 20th Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting, one of the most important issues was the provision of ammunition to Ukraine.

The meeting also discussed the provision of air defense systems and training for Ukrainian pilots on F-16s. Ukraine continues to work in this direction with the United States, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Romania and other countries. Another topic for discussion was the provision of drones.

Earlier, Apostrophe reported that EU has prepared legislation that will allow Ukraine to purchase weapons with profits from Russian assets.
