US is preparing to transfer another Patriot battery to Ukraine

The US is considering sending another Patriot battery with radars to Ukraine.

Bloomberg writes about it.

According to the publication, the Administration of US President Joe Biden is currently working on how to meet Ukraine's needs for additional air defence equipment.

In particular, the US wants to send one Patriot battery along with radars. In addition, Ukraine's European partners are also working on a plan to supply Kyiv with additional air defence systems from their stockpiles.

The publication suggests that the United States will allocate funds for the Patriot from the $61 billion aid package recently approved by the US Congress.

As a reminder, during the visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine needed two more Patriots.

Patriot is an American anti-aircraft missile system in service with the US Army and the armies of a number of other countries. The system was created as a universal means of air defence of troop positions at medium and high altitudes.
