Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak spoke about the results of the constructive meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations in Jeddah.
Separately, the politician emphasized Ukraine's "red lines".
According to Yermak, Ukraine supported the US proposal for an unconditional 30-day ceasefire.
"As one of the first steps towards peace, we proposed the exchange of prisoners of war, the release of civilians, and the return of deported children. At the same time, it is important that any initiatives be based on expert assessment. In particular, the issue of monitoring the regime of silence requires clear mechanisms and professional developments. I especially emphasized our "red lines," the head of the OP noted.
At the same time, Yermak also commented on the status of the temporarily occupied territories.
"Ukraine is not discussing neutral status and reducing the size of its Armed Forces. We will never recognize any temporarily occupied territories as Russian," the official summarized.
As Apostrophe reported, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin may agree to possible terms of a truce with Ukraine , but will try to drag out the negotiations to secure the most favorable terms for himself.
