Zelenskyy told how complicated things are with the mineral agreement

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the agreement with the United States on minerals is progressing slowly. The terms have not been finally agreed and are subject to change.

The head of state announced this at a press conference in Paris following the leaders' meeting on support for Ukraine and security in Europe.

The President noted that there are no intentions to go to the US yet, the terms of the agreement are still being adjusted, so there is no final version yet.

"I'm not going to go to Washington yet, because there's no such issue on the agenda. Secondly, we have a lot of these mineral agreements. And so I would like to approach this not theoretically, but practically: when the final version of this or that agreement comes from the US, the next one, because the conditions are constantly changing," he explained.

Yes, according to him, it was previously agreed that there would be a framework agreement, and later - a full one, but now the US has advocated for immediately concluding a full agreement. The relevant issue requires detailed study.

"We must act restrainedly, calmly, not be nervous. Look at the agreement. Lawyers will study it. We will support adequate proposals. If there are questions, there are always answers to them," Zelenskyy said.

The head of state added that Ukraine is not against the agreement and cooperates "constructively" with US representatives on a daily basis.

As Apostrophe wrote, the President of the United States announced the signing of a revenue-sharing agreement between the United States and Ukraine regarding Ukraine's most important minerals in the near future.

Earlier, the President of Ukraine commented on the statement of the White House spokeswoman that, in the opinion of the US leader, "American ownership of Ukrainian nuclear power plants would be the best protection for this infrastructure," emphasizing that he was talking exclusively about the Zaporizhzhia NPP .
