Markarova's husband opened another company in the USA, and the ambassador bought a TOYOTA SEQUOIA

Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova bought a TOYOTA SEQUOIA last year worth UAH 3,365,491, and leased another TOYOTA BZ4X, probably for official purposes. Both cars are 2024 models.

This is evidenced by the ambassador's declaration for 2024, Apostrophe reports.

It is worth noting that Markarova previously leased a 2021 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER. Now the ambassador has decided to switch to a newer car. Also, Markarova did not own her own car until 2024.

At the same time, Markarova's salary, which she received in 2024 from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, is 365,698 UAH. In addition, the ambassador received compensation payments from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the amount of 2,948,231 UAH. Another 4,466 UAH was paid to her by Accordbank as interest.

Meanwhile, the ambassador's husband, Danylo Volynets, continues to expand his business in the United States. As can be seen from Markarova's declaration, in 2024 he created a company with the strange name VRZ2036.

The cost of Markarova's husband's new company is UAH 38 million

Recall that in 2022, Volynets registered a company in America called RUTA LLC. This is a restaurant located in a fashionable area of Washington, which is positioned as an institution of traditional Ukrainian cuisine.

Because of this, Oksana Markarova got into a scandal because she advertised this restaurant on the official page of the Ukrainian Embassy, although this establishment is private.

In her declaration, Oksana Markarova showed the income of her husband, who also runs a business in Ukraine. Thus, Dmytro Volynets received a salary from Accordbank in the amount of UAH 12 million. Another UAH 800 thousand was paid to him by PJSC "BUSINESS CENTER "NYVKI" as fees in accordance with civil law transactions, UAH 235,806 he received from the Pension Fund of Ukraine. And finally, Volynets received UAH 64,953 as interest from Accordbank.

Surprisingly, the income from the husband's business in the US is not recorded in the ambassador's declaration for some reason.
