President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, recalling Russia's attack on Ukraine on the night of April 2, emphasized that the systematic and constant nature of Russian strikes clearly indicates the Kremlin's disregard for all diplomatic efforts.
He wrote about this in Telegram.
The President recalled that last night the enemy used 74 strike drones against Ukraine:
"Last night, the Russian army continued to use strike drones against Ukraine. There were 74 drones in total, 54 of them were "shaheeds". Targeted attack against Kharkiv - at least 14 drones. Unfortunately, there were hits. There are wounded, including three children. Everyone is being provided with the necessary assistance."
The head of state also specified that there were also strikes against the Odessa and Sumy regions. He noted that these were another targeted strikes and damage to energy facilities: in the Sumy region, an FPV drone hit a substation, and in Nikopol, Dnipro region, an artillery strike damaged a power line. Almost 4,000 subscribers in the two regions were left without electricity.
He also emphasized the airstrikes:
"Russian airstrikes are also continuing - only against our Sumy region, and only between yesterday and this morning, the Russians used almost 50 guided air bombs."
Zelensky emphasizes:
"Such a systematic and constant nature of Russian strikes clearly indicates that Moscow despises the diplomatic efforts of its partners. Putin does not want to ensure even a partial ceasefire."
He believes new and tangible pressure on Russia is necessary to put this war on a course to completion.
"We should not wait until April 11, when it will be a month since Russia said "no" to the American proposal to cease fire. We need to act as soon as possible. We are ready to work with all our partners in America, Europe, and the world as constructively as possible to achieve such a necessary result - a dignified and lasting peace," the Ukrainian president emphasized.
As "Apostrophe" previously wrote, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 41 eliminated drones on the night of April 2. Another 20 enemy drones-simulators were lost in location.
