US President Donald Trump probably didn't like Volodymyr Zelensky's interview with CBS News, as he threatened the channel with consequences on his Truth Social network for allegedly "spreading fake news."
"Almost every week 60 Minutes, which is being sued for billions of dollars for rigging the 2024 presidential election in an interview with failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris, mentions the name 'TRUMP' in a derogatory and defamatory manner, but this weekend's 'BROADCAST' surpassed all their intentions. They did not one, but TWO major stories about 'Trump', one involving Ukraine, which I say is a war that would never have happened if the 2020 election had not been rigged, in other words, if I had been President, and the other story involving Greenland, where our country, which I lead, has been falsely, inaccurately and fraudulently portrayed," Trump wrote.
The US President said he was happy to sue 60 Minutes, CBS Fake News, and Paramount.
"They are not a 'News Show', but dishonest political agents who are simply masquerading as 'news' and must be held accountable for what they have done and are doing. They should lose their license!" Trump stressed.
Volodymyr Zelensky, in an interview with CBS, noted in particular that without the United States, Ukraine would suffer great losses - human and territorial. The president also emphasized that Ukraine does not recognize the lands occupied by Russia and will return them.
In his opinion, Russian narratives prevail in the United States.
"How can you witness our losses and believe that the Russian Federation is not an aggressor? This speaks of the enormous influence of Russia's information policy on America, on US policy and US politicians," Zelensky believes.
According to him, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has spent over a trillion dollars on the war. Putin's goal is to revive the Russian Empire and reclaim territories currently under NATO protection, which could escalate into a world war.
