"Is Trump still a friend or not?": US extends sanctions against Russian ships

US President Donald Trump has extended the ban on entry into American ports of Russian or allied vessels for another year, dealing another "stab in the back" to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

This is how Ukrainian military officer Kyrylo Sazonov commented on the US decision in the Telegram channel.

It is known that the restrictions apply to all vessels associated with the Russian Federation - regardless of ownership and route.

The document states that the policies and actions of the Russian government continue to constitute a national emergency caused by a violation or threat of violation of the international relations of the United States. The sanctions are designed to increase the international isolation of Russia, which does not stop its armed aggression against Ukraine.

The restriction will remain in effect for at least another year. The document will be officially published on the US Federal Register website on April 17.

He believes that decisions on new sanctions should soon be picked up by Russian propaganda media with the usual accusations.

"Moscows, what's with the faces? Is Trump still a friend or not? Come on, start shouting about the Pindos. You want to," Sazonov added.

As Apostrophe wrote, Trump has repeatedly stated that he is a mediator between Russia and Ukraine, so he cannot make harsh statements against it, because he wants to negotiate peace. Commenting on the strike on Sumy, he stated that Russia could have carried out the ballistic attack by mistake.

Despite such loyal statements, the US president previously signed an executive order extending for one year the sanctions restrictions imposed by his predecessor Joe Biden on April 15, 2021.
