The number of people's deputies in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (VRU) has decreased to a historic low after the death of Volodymyr Moroz, a member of the 9th convocation.
This was announced by People's Deputy, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
Thus, commenting on the sad news about the death of the parliamentarian, he noted that only 400 people remain in the Verkhovna Rada.
Moroz was elected from the 59th district (Donetsk region) and was a member of the "Restore Ukraine" group. His mandate will remain vacant until the next convocation, Zheleznyak noted.
"People's Deputy of this convocation Volodymyr Moroz has left our world... 400 people remain in Parliament. The smallest number in history," the post says.
