Ukraine introduced another package of sanctions against the Russian Federation: Zelensky signed a corresponding decree

On Tuesday, March 23, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree introducing new sanctions against Russia.

The document is published on the President's website. Sanctions have been imposed for three years.

The decree, in particular, expanded the list of banned websites. Among them are gazeta.ru, rt.com, lenta.ru, ukraina.ru, utro.ru.

As per the new sanctions package, a number of Russian companies and universities were banned in Ukraine as well. Several generals of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, heads of FSB services, representatives of the structures of the Federation Council and Federal Assembly were also subject to sanctions.

In total, there are 81 legal entities and 26 individuals on the sanctions list.

In addition, French European Parliament deputies Virginie Jorón, Lacapelle Jean-Lin and Olivier Philippe, who visited Crimea in 2020, were also sanctioned.
