The court has found Sytnyk guilty of corruption: according to the law, he has to leave office

Today, on December 13th, the verdict to the head of the NABU Artem Sytnik came into force, now there are reasons for his dismissal.

The Rivne Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the court of first instance in Sytnyk's elite vacation case, has write "Vesti".

Thus, now, according to the law on NABU, Sytnyk should be fired from the NABU director post, as he falls into the corrupt officials register.

Earlier, Artem Sytnyk admitted he had had four or five vacations in the farm and had normal relations with businessman Mykola Nadeyko. The prosecution in the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) Head case noted that there was evidence of the vacations payed for by Mykola Nadeyko.

Mr Sytnyk believed there was no corpus delicti in the case, and it should be closed. But the court rejected his appeal, thus confirming the court of first instance decision, that found Sytnyk guilty of committing a corruption act and imposed a fine of UAH 3400 on him.

Recall that in May this year, the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) opened criminal proceedings against the NABU HEAD Artem Sytnyk. He was accused of having a free vacation in the elite hunting grounds of the Polisske-Sarny farm in the Rivne region, and his friend, businessman Mykola Nadeyko, paid the bills. Nadeyko paid not only for hotel accommodation, but also for food and expensive entertainment.
