In 2019, 11.5 billion hryvnias were allocated to the Ukrainian Armed Forces for the purchase and modernization of weapons and military equipment.
"Ukrainian militaristic portal" reports about it, referring to words of the Director of Department of Finance of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Serhii Vynnyk.
For the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, it is planned to purchase more than 800 units of automotive equipment, 600 units of communication equipment, more than 270 units of missile and artillery weapons, more than 200 units of armored weapons and equipment, 3000 units of small arms, as well as other weapons and military equipment.
It is planned to conduct twenty experimental design works in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Also this year the part of the allocated amount (UAH 4 billion) will go for repair of more than 5000 units of arms and military equipment.
According to "Apostrophe", Air Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces received another Су-25 attack aircraft, which underwent major renovation and partial modernization.
