The Odessa high school student attended a polish women's summit together with STEM IS FEM - Sergey Tokarev

The Ukrainian schoolgirl participated in the largest Polish technical summit for women thanks to the victory in the first module of the charitable project STEM is FEM. The project's initiator, investor and IT-businessman Sergei Tokarev told about it.

According to him, sixteen-year-old Natalia Snigur from Odessa demonstrated the best knowledge on the subject of biotechnology during the educational module STEM is FEM, and received participation in Perspektywy Women in Tech. This is Poland's largest international STEM summit for women. This year more than 6,300 participants from 52 countries took part in it.

"In two days, more than 150 speakers shared their stories. I was very fond of appearances by physicist Sabrina Gonzalez Pasteurski, who is called the new Einstein, Margo Gerritsen of Stanford, and Josephine Smith, who heads the IT department at the British Amazon. now we want to work even harder to reach new heights," says Natalia Snigur.

The summit discussed the latest trends in the technology world and the advances of women in technology industries. For example, it was noted that companies that support women in leadership positions have an average of 35% higher profits than those who do not. They also discussed how to attract more women to technology.

“Poland already holds the first positions on the percentage of girls at STEM faculties in the EU. The Poles have something to say about this and they can share their experience with the international community. To attract Ukraine to this trend, we have started the charitable educational project STEM is FEM. Our goal is to promote training in mathematics, technology, engineering and science among girls," - said the initiator of the STEM is FEM project Sergei Tokarev.

Now on the site of the project stemisfem.org, there is a new competition to the second educational module on the subject of IT.The competition will last until November 30, and girls from all over the country can participate.
