Two Island Class Patrol Boats have departed Baltimore, Maryland for Odesa.This was reported by the press service of the Embassy of the United States in Ukraine on its Facebook page.
The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine has noted that the ships are part of the more than $2.5 billion in security assistance the U.S. has provided Ukraine since 2014.
"The vessels will help strengthen Ukraine's maritime security and bolster the Ukrainian Navy’s interoperability with NATO," the press service of the embassy says.
Earlier, Apostrophe reported that the U.S. Island-class ships will enter Ukrainian waters by the end of the first half of 2021.
