The West failed to see and stop "Putin's plague" in time: is Russia ready to attack NATO

Large-scale NATO exercise "Steadfast Defender-2024" is not so much a preparation for war with Russia, as a psychological and mental realization that there is already an invisible wall between Russia and the Western world.

This was told on the air of "Apostrophe" TV by military expert, Director of the Center for Army Research, Conversion and Disarmament Valentyn Badrak.

"I am sure that at the moment Russia is not ready to attack NATO. But mutual artificial pressures have gone in such a direction that there has been what I call "depressurization of war on the planet". In other words, a universally dangerous situation is being created," Badrak noted.

The expert emphasized that this is why NATO's "Steadfast Defender-2024" exercise is not only an expectation of war, but actually a psychological and mental preparation for the fact that there is already an invisible wall between Russia and the Western world. And this civilizational rift is unfortunately taking place in the way that Huntington (Samuel Huntington, author of the theory of the clash of civilizations - "Apostrophe") envisioned back in the late 1990s that the biggest civilizational rift is in the middle of Ukraine.

"The weakest situation, when Russia and Putin were actually on the verge of defeat, has passed, and now the West feels that a strategic mistake was made in not supporting Ukraine in a timely manner. And the mistake was with the calculations of the counter-offensive. But now the West realizes that this danger is starting to approach them - this "Putin plague". That's why they are now building up the exercises, building up all the possibilities, but at the same time there are chances for us," the expert summarized.
