Ukraine will receive F-16s and missiles with a range of 300-500 km: Nayev talks about Western support

Ukraine will receive F-16s and missiles with a range of 300-500 kilometers from its allies in the next military aid packages.

This was announced by the Commander of the Joint Forces of the AFU, Lieutenant General, Serhiy Nayev.

“In future military aid packages, Ukraine is expecting F-16 aircraft and missiles with a range of 300-500 kilometers," he said.

According to Nayev, this will allow the AFU to achieve even greater success on the battlefield and liberate Ukrainian territory from the enemy.

The Commander noted that with the introduction of the M142 HIMARS multiple rocket systems in 2022, and later M270 MLRS rocket launchers, the enemy suffered more significant losses in the logistical support of their forward units and was forced to move their field depots and command centers to a distance of more than 100 kilometers.

"This led to an increase in the logistical "shoulder" of transporting ammunition and material resources, the complication of troop management, the loss of offensive capabilities and the transition to forced defense (and eventually to the "gesture of goodwill" from the right bank of the Dnipro river and the evacuation from Kherson") - said the General.

Nayev also noted that the introduction of the PATRIOT SAM systems in April 2023, Ukraine's missile defense shield has been strengthened further by increasing the range of destruction of aerodynamic targets at a distance of up to 150 km.

Earlier we reported that the U.S. Senate unveiled a proposal of $ 60.1 billion aid package for Ukraine.
