At the moment, Russians are using at the front all available human resources: mercenaries from Sierra Leone, Syria and other poor countries, whose task is to be "meat" for assaults.
This was told by the Head of the Council of Reservists of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Ivan Tymochko on the air of Apostrophe TV.
According to him, Ukrainian troops have experience in launching an offensive, but the current situation at the front forces them to switch to active defense in order not to waste resources.
The military officer notes that Russians built good fortifications, but they are not a continuous line and they can be bypassed in the future.
"Right now Russians don't have so many troops to organize defense along the whole line. Therefore, they are now on the offensive to capture the territories as much as possible, as Putin is going to enter the negotiation process after the elections to fix the occupation," says Tymochko.
According to him, Russians are now using outdated tanks. They are also engaged in mass "tank cannibalism," assembling one tank from several. They also have problems with training qualified crews.
"So when they say that Russians have thousands more tanks, it doesn't mean that every single one of them will end up on the battlefield and give results," the military officer believes.
According to him, Russians now have two main advantages on the front - KAB and manpower.
Earlier we reported that Russians are constantly storming Chasiv Yar.
