Russian troops are trying to cut off Ukrainian logistics routes to Ivanivske from the north.
This is stated in an analytical report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Luhansk Region
On March 4, limited positional engagements continued along the Kupiansk-Svatovo-Kreminna line, but there were no confirmed changes on the front line in this area. Ukrainian and Russian sources reported the continuation of hostilities: northeast of Kupyansk in the area of Sinkivka; southeast of Kupyansk in the area of Tabayivka; west of Kreminna in the area of Terny; south of Kreminna in the area of Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianske.
Donetsk Region
Russian troops advanced west of Bakhmut amid ongoing positional fighting in the area on March 4. A geolocation footage posted on March 3 shows Russian troops advancing toward the center of Ivanivske (west of Bakhmut).
Russian bloggers claimed that fighting continued in western Ivanivske and that Russian troops were attempting to cut Ukrainian logistical supply routes entering Ivanivske from the north.
It is also reported that Russian troops have advanced west of Avdiivka amid fighting in the area on March 4. A geolocation footage posted on March 4 shows Russian troops advancing south of Orlivka (west of Avdiivka) near the Orlivka-Tonenke road (west of Avdiivka).
"Southern Axis"
Positional engagements continued in western Zaporizhzhia Region on March 4, but there were no confirmed changes on the front line in this area. Ukrainian and Russian sources stated that positional engagements continued near Robotyne and Verbove (east of Robotyne).
On March 4, the General Staff of Ukraine stated that Russian troops unsuccessfully attacked on the left bank of the Kherson Region near Krynky.
Earlier "Apostrophe" reported that AFU shot down three Russian Su-34 fighters during the day.
