It's an impossible task: why Russia can't capture Kharkiv now

Despite Russia's intention to capture Kharkiv, it will not be possible to realize this in the near future, as the terrorist country will have to mobilize and provide everything necessary for the terrorist group of 500,000 people.

Roman Svitan, a military expert, pilot-instructor, Reserve Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told this on the air of Apostrophe TV.

According to him, they will have to stretch the front line to Kharkiv by 250 km.

"Now they have about 500,000 soldiers fighting in Ukraine in general, so it is extremely difficult to assume that they can gather as many more to take Kharkiv," he explained.

That is why in the coming months or even years, the issue of "taking" Kharkiv is an almost impossible task for the Russians.

However, this does not prevent the occupation forces from regularly shelling the Kharkiv Region.

"The next problem is that the city is close to the border and it is convenient for Russians to use aircraft, bombs and missiles against the civilian population, and the city itself is large. That is, Russian terrorists don't even need to target the city, they just drop KABs or fire missiles, as they are guaranteed to hit our people," Svitan said.

In his opinion, there is only one way out of this situation - to set up a demilitarized zone between Kharkiv and the Russian city of Belgorod (which is about 80 kilometers away).

"Either we need to do it or our allies will do it - Russian volunteers or even the Armed Forces of the democratic republics that will emerge from the wreckage of Putin's terrorist "federation," the military expert summarized.

Earlier, we wrote that Russians use combined strikes of various missiles and bombs to put pressure on the population of Ukraine.
