Will ATACMS become a weapon of victory: what the American law 'forgot' to specify

The transfer of ATACMS missiles in the recently adopted US law on assistance to Ukraine is a positive development. These missiles are needed to isolate Crimea and destroy the logistics center there. However, Joe Biden has been given the opportunity to refuse to supply them if it is decided that this is not in the interests of the United States.

This opinion was expressed by military expert Valentyn Badrak on Apostrophe TV.

"ATACMS are tactical missiles with a range of 300 km. This is not a long range for missiles. We need such missiles to isolate Crimea and destroy the logistics center there. However, Biden has been given the opportunity to refuse to supply them if it is decided that this is not in the interests of the United States. There are also warnings that we need to wait for the arrival of new missiles with a range of up to 500 km," the expert said.

According to Badrak, some analysts point out that two problems have not been resolved. It has not been determined how complete Russia's defeat should be and what Ukraine's victory should look like. Also, an anti-Putin coalition has not yet been formed.

"The Russians do not have the forces and means to form a striking fist. According to my calculations, they can prepare for a large-scale offensive operation by the end of August," he said.

According to the expert, the Russians are preparing: they are modernizing their Shaheds and increasing the number of combat units. They are also adding an extra battalion to each military unit.

He is convinced that until US aid arrives, the Defense Forces are capable of holding the front. Drone production has increased dramatically. They have grown 10 times.
