Churchill's golden watch has gone under the hammer: how much the unique item was sold for

A pocket watch gifted to future British Prime Minister Winston Churchill by politician Herbert Henry Asquith was sold at Dawsons for £76,000.

It is reported by BBC.

The watch was reportedly purchased by a private collector from the UK.

It is believed that this gift to Churchill was a recognition of his bold decision to join the Liberal Party in parliament due to disagreements with the Conservative Party leadership over tariff reform.
