Who is Akim Apachev, what is the scandal with him in Suja and why are Z-bloggers now disowning him?

Russian rapper, former military corporator, propagandist, collaborator from Mariupol, author and performer of songs Akim Apachev has found himself at the center of a scandal. He has seriously angered Russian propagandists with a new prank in the Russian-liberated Sudzhi, Kursk region.

"Apostrophe" publishes what is known about the scandalous rapper and collaborator, and why the Z-community disowns him.

Akim Apachev (real name Akim Hasanov) was born in 1985, originally from the city of Mariupol (Zhdanov - Ukrainian SSR), his roots are from Azerbaijan, because his father is a native of Baku, in the mid-80s he moved to live in Zhdanov.

Apachev began his career in the Ukrainian media space as a cameraman and video director, but in 2014, after the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war in Donbas, he began working for the ANNA-News news agency, showing the "heroism" of the "LPR-DPR" militias.

He began working as a military correspondent, met Russian rock singer Yulia Chicherina, who supports Donbas with her "patriotic" work.

In May 2022, he and Daria Frei covered the song "Plyve kacha", dedicating it to the destruction of Mariupol. At the same time, the Russian TV channel RT released a video for this song, filmed in the ruins of Azovstal in Mariupol, but YouTube blocked the clip for hate speech. In February 2023, he performed at Luzhniki in Moscow in front of the dictator of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and, together with Daria Frei, performed a distorted song "Plyve kacha".

In May of the same year, he proposed creating a register of artists who did not support the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In January 2024, on New Year's Eve, he sang the song "Plyve Kacha" on the air of the propaganda "First Channel". He also took part in the filming of the series "Century", which took place in Mariupol. He stated that the film is dedicated to the fight against the Ukrainian partisan movement in his hometown.

On March 23, it became known that Apachev had painted the walls of Suja with insults and images of Ukrainians, calling it "contemporary art."

He was criticized on social media by the residents of Suja themselves. In response, he began insulting and threatening the townspeople.

After that, the Z-"community" began to harass the collaborator from Mariupol. As in Stalin's "better days," other collaborators began to disavow him, so that they too would not be accused of discrediting the Z-movement.

In particular, after he posted a joint photo with propagandist Yuriy Podoliaka, the latter quickly wrote a post stating that Apachev was nobody to him and that they had taken a photo by accident.

We previously wrote that the governor of the Kursk region, Alexander Khinshtein, said that the rapper would be fined.
