Oleksandr Plahotnik was a Ukrainian politician, a member of the political party "Batkivshchyna".
According to the "Chesno" movement, he was born on April 4, 1975 in the city of Dniprodzerzhynsk, now Kamianske, in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He had a higher education. In particular, he was the general director of the municipal enterprise "Miskvodokanal" in Kamianske.
He was elected a deputy to the Kamiansk City Council. Since 2015, he has been the deputy mayor of Kamiansk.
Later, he headed the local branch of the "Batkivshchyna" party in Kamianske.
In 2014, he ran for the Verkhovna Rada from the "Batkivshchyna" faction, but was not elected.
In July 2018, he founded the charitable organization "O. Plahotnik Charitable Foundation "Motherland".

On March 28, 2025, the police reported the discovery of a citizen's body on the side of the road. Information about the incident was received by law enforcement officers in the morning from passers-by.
An investigative and operational team and a forensic laboratory arrived at the scene. During the examination, a gunshot wound was discovered on the body.
As reported by the publication "Suspilne", the body belongs to former vice mayor and member of the "Batkivshchyna" party, Oleksandr Plahotnik.
What could have happened to the politician is still unknown. Investigators are establishing all the circumstances and resolving issues regarding legal qualification.
