Russian troops used an Iskander-M cluster bomb in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. The strike resulted in numerous casualties, and a rescue operation is currently underway.
This was reported by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine , Andriy Kovalenko , and the President of Ukraine , Volodymyr Zelensky .
"The Russian cluster ballistic missile, previously known as the Iskander. This is a deliberate strike to kill a large number of people," Kovalenko notes.
The president adds that the rocket hits directly on the street, in an area with residential buildings.
"Preliminarily, this is a ballistic strike. As of now, 14 people are known to have died, including 6 children. My condolences to their families and loved ones. The rescue operation is ongoing. At least 5 houses have been damaged," Zelenskyy said.
And he emphasizes that every missile, every strike drone proves that Russia only wants war.
Recall that on Friday, April 4, in the evening, Russian troops struck Kryvyi Rih . Fires broke out in the city: cars and garages are burning. High-rise buildings are also damaged.
