Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat announced the reason for the deterioration in the shooting down of enemy ballistic missiles.
The spokesman said this on the air of the "We-Ukraine" TV channel.
According to Ignat, the Russian occupiers are also modernizing ballistics.
"We see that when Patriot appeared, we began to show good results: shooting down "Daggers", shooting down "Iskanders". Now it is more difficult to do this, because the enemy is modernizing ballistic missiles," the spokesman noted.
At the same time, he said that Ukraine is sharing this information with partners so that the data is taken into account and systems are also modernized.
"This applies to both Patriot systems and IRIS-T and Nasams systems, " Ignat added.
In addition, he stated that since 2024, the enemy has accumulated a percentage of ballistic missiles.
"The percentage of cruise missiles has decreased, and the percentage of ballistic missiles has increased," Ignat stated.
As is known, on the night of April 6 , the Russian occupiers carried out a combined strike on Ukraine with air-, ground-, and sea-based missiles and strike UAVs, launching over a hundred types of deadly weapons.
And as a result of the rocket attack on Kyiv, three people were injured and one person died .
