The Ukrainian Armed Forces have destroyed the second most expensive Russian drone in a row - the Russian experimental unmanned aerial vehicle "Merlin-VR", designed for reconnaissance in automatic and semi-automatic modes.
This is reported by "Apostrophe" with reference to military analyst, volunteer, participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war Taras Chmut.
According to him, this happened on the night of April 9, 2025.
Chmut noted that the Merlin-VR was shot down by fighters of the 38th Separate Marine Brigade of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with their drone.
The volunteer emphasizes that the cost of "Merlin-VR" is approximately 300 thousand US dollars.
