Ukrainian athlete and MP Zhan Beleniuk told how he reacts to manifestations of racism online.
He shared his thoughts on his personal Facebook page.
He admits that he has something in common with the people's representative Maryana Bezugla:
"... the opportunity to comment on our publications is open to anyone - friends, enemies, critics, sympathizers, bots! I am grateful to everyone, sometimes I even read the comments!".
The People's Deputy notes that if he sees something constructive, he takes it into account, and in other cases he reacts as follows:
"... if it's difficult for me to see the constructive - I take the time to think about it. If it's a manifestation of racism - I write it off as a Russian IPSO!"
Beleniuk emphasized that he does not allow himself to succumb to such provocations, because he is sure that racist attacks are part of the informational and psychological operations of the aggressor country aimed at destabilizing Ukrainian society.
"After all, Ukraine is a tolerant, multicultural, multinational country! With this, I travel, advocate, and convey my position all over the world! And what is this, if not a manifestation of ipso, when people approach me on the street to take a picture and shake my hand, and in the comments I sometimes read "go to Africa" or "give this monkey a banana" - I can't be fooled that easily," the people's representative points out.
