On the night of Saturday, April 19, the Russian occupation army attacked Ukraine, using 8 missiles of various types and 87 strike UAVs.
This is reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In total, the Air Force radio-technical troops detected and tracked 95 enemy air attack vehicles. Of these,:
- 3 Iskander-M ballistic missiles (launch area – Crimea);
- 2 Onyx anti-ship missiles (launch area – Crimea);
- 3 Kh-31P anti-radar missiles;
- 87 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of simulator drones (launch areas – Millerovo, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russia, Gvardiyske – Crimea).
This morning, the Ukrainian Air Force confirmed the downing of 33 Shahed attack UAVs (and other types of drones) in the east, north, and south of the country. Also, 36 enemy simulator drones were lost in location without any negative consequences.
However, the press service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes: "As a result of the enemy attack, the Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk and Zaporizhia regions suffered."
Recall that the day before, the Air Force announced the attack of 43 air attack vehicles, including 6 missiles of various types and 37 strike UAVs. At that time, they confirmed the elimination of 26 air targets.
In addition, on April 18, Russia announced the end of the ban on strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities. There are no plans to extend the moratorium yet.
