1000 km from Ukraine: General Staff confirms destruction of UAV production plant in Tatarstan

The General Staff confirmed the destruction on April 23 by Ukrainian forces of a Shahed drone production plant in Tatarstan, located 1,000 km from Ukraine.

This is stated in a statement from the General Staff.

They noted that Ukrainian fighters managed to attack a Russian factory where up to 300 drones were produced per day.

According to the General Staff, a fire attack on a facility producing strike drones (Geran-2, Shahed type, and others) was carried out thanks to the successful joint work of units of the Unmanned Systems Forces and other components of the Defense Forces.

"The production capacity of the enterprise is about 300 different UAVs per day. It is located in the Yelabuga district of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russia) at a distance of 1,054 km from the state border of Ukraine," the military reported.

In particular, there are reports of hits and explosions in the area of a designated military target.

"Currently, damage to the UAV final assembly shop is known. The results of the damage are being clarified," the report says.

They also added that the corresponding attack is a fair response from the Ukrainian side to the Russian strategic military facility, as it uses it to ensure aggression against Ukraine and terror against civilians.

The media previously reported that on April 23, drones attacked the Shahedov production plant ("Geran-2") in the city of Yelabuga, Tatarstan, Russia, which is located in the Alabuga special economic zone.

As Apostrophe reported, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security Council, Andriy Kovalenko, announced figures on the production of "Shaheeds" by the Russians at a factory in Alabuz, Tatarstan.

We previously wrote that a state of emergency was declared due to an explosion in the Kirzhach district of the Vladimir region of Russia on April 22, located 100 km from Moscow.
