The Armed Forces of Ukraine denied the end of hostilities in the Kursk region

The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their operation in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. The Kremlin's statements about the alleged liberation of Kursk do not correspond to reality.

This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The military emphasizes that the statements of representatives of the high command of the aggressor country about the alleged end of hostilities in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation are not true.

"The defensive operation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in certain areas in the Kursk region continues. The operational situation is difficult, but our units continue to hold designated positions and perform assigned tasks, while inflicting effective fire damage on the enemy with all types of weapons, including using active defense tactics," the report says.

And since the beginning of the day, in the operational zone of the Kursk group of forces, Ukrainian defenders have repelled five enemy assault actions, and another such combat clash is currently underway.

"There is no threat of encirclement of our units. The enemy leadership's statements about the "defeat" of the Ukrainian group of troops are nothing more than a propaganda ploy and a desire to make wishful thinking come true. Active actions of our troops in certain areas of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation are also continuing," the General Staff added.

It should be noted that a Ukrainian journalist also denied the withdrawal of the SOU from the Kursk region before the General Staff.

"The Kursk operation has not ended. The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to hold certain areas and lines," the message said .

As a reminder, the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov reported to dictator Vladimir Putin about the alleged liberation of the Kursk region . However, in the morning, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the fighting in the Kursk region in an updated report.

Russian publications wrote, citing Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov, that Gerasimov allegedly reported to the Kremlin master about the "liberation" of Kursk. In addition, Gerasimov for the first time officially announced the participation of DPRK fighters in the battles for Kursk. And he indicated that they, acting side by side with the Russian military in the Kursk region, "showed resilience and heroism."
