Ukrainian MP Mykola Knyazhytskyi drew attention to the fact that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, during his speech in Volgograd, deliberately avoided mentioning Kyiv, a city that was truly heroically defended during World War II.
He wrote about this on his Facebook page.
"But if you listen to the speech to the end, it becomes clear that the silence about Kyiv is not an accident. Putin said literally: "We honor the heroes of the defense of our cities - Minsk, Leningrad, Sevastopol." Kyiv is not among "our cities." And this is good. This means that even for Putin, Kyiv is not a Russian city," the people's deputy emphasized.
At the same time, in his opinion, the mention of Sevastopol as a "Russian city" is already a conscious manipulation.
"Sevastopol is not Russian — it is simply temporarily occupied. But no matter how the Kremlin dictator distorts history, the fictional "heroic defense of Minsk" with which he is trying to impress the world never existed," Knyazhytskyi concluded.
Earlier , the Armed Forces of Ukraine declared the illegitimacy of another "truce" declared by Russia.
