The Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko, stated that Ukraine is forming its own AI (artificial intelligence) front - new generation FPV drones that use computer vision.
He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
"They can autonomously recognize a tank, infantry fighting vehicle, dugout, fly around obstacles and hit a target even without direct operator control. Guidance modules are being developed that allow for "photo-based fire" - a previously detected target is automatically compared with an image in field conditions," the head of the Central Defense Center said.
According to Kovalenko, video analytics systems are already working: algorithms recognize changes in terrain after artillery fire, the movement of equipment, and the appearance of new objects in positions, which makes it possible to react not after the strike, but even before it.
In addition, AI models are being tested that predict possible attacks based on changes in the enemy's behavior.
