Honorary Patriarch Filaret stated he did not accept Tomos due to not having been acquainted with its content before receiving it.
Filaret made this statement at the forum of the Ukrainian intelligentsia, as "Hromadske" reports.
“We do not accept this Tomos because we weren’t familiar with is content. If we knew about its content before December 15, we wouldn't have voted for the autocephaly. We do not need to jump from one dependency to another. The Moscow Patriarchate serves Moscow’s interests, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine serves the Greeks. Who will serve Ukraine?” Filaret stated.
As “Apostrophe” reported earlier, Honorary Patriarch Filaret announced his plans to convene the Local Orthodox Council of the Kyiv Patriarchate, despite the fact that, according to the statutes of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, he does not have such a right.
As was reported, the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine described a real situation in the church.
