On Thursday, February 11, at about 09:30 a.m. near Ukrainian settlement Gorlivka, Donetsk region, a sniper heavily wounded a Ukrainian military man. The soldier died because of the injures.
This was reported in the official Telegram channel of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contract Group for the peaceful settlement of the situation in Eastern Ukrain.
"Despite the first aid provided, he died during the evacuation. The Ukrainian side sent a corresponding note to the OSCE. Our delegation expresses sincere condolences to the family and friends of the Ukrainian soldier," the message reads.
Meanwhile, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky started a working trip to the Donetsk region. The Head of State will get himself acquainted with the situation on the frontline and talk to the servicemen in the area of the Joint Forces Operation.
According to the press-service of the President’s Office, the ambassadors of the G7 countries arrived in Donbas together with the President.
As was reported earlier by “Apostrophe”, a day before, another Ukrainian military man was wounded by the enemy sniper.
