In Mariupol, the occupiers disrupted the process of evacuating civilians from the city and shelled in the direction of the humanitarian corridor.
This was reported on Facebook by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, the defenders of the city have taken a number of measures to organize civilians of Mariupol along a single route. In particular, the roads were cleared of mines and engineering barriers were removed.
But the occupiers once again showed their true face and did not let women, children, and the elderly out of the city. In the direction of the humanitarian corridor, the enemy launched an attack, which made it impossible to evacuate citizens.
"Such actions of Russian monsters are nothing more than the genocide of the people of Ukraine. The crimes of the Kremlin occupiers will not go unpunished!" the press service of the Ministry of Defense stressed.
Earlier we also reported that on March 8, the population will be evacuated from the city of Sumy, where active hostilities are taking place.
