Pakistan launched strikes against Iran in response to the January 16 shelling.
This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the strikes were carried out on terrorist hideouts in the province of Sistan-o-Baluchestan in Iran.
Meanwhile, Turkey's Anadolu Agency reported that Pakistan decided to recall its ambassador from Iran after the strikes on its territory. Islamabad also warned that the incident could have "serious consequences" and is "absolutely unacceptable".
Earlier we reported that on January 12, the U.S. and British Armed Forces launched a series of strikes on numerous facilities of the Yemeni Houthis.
