'Fat' targets were destroyed: new data on the strike on the Russian airfield in Dzhankoy

The explosions at the military airfield in Dzhankoy on the night of April 17 were probably a joint operation of the Armed Forces and the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine - the attack destroyed three air defense batteries, several helicopters, a BC warehouse and other 'fat' targets.

This was reported by OBOZ.UA, citing its own sources.

It is noted that the strike was carried out with modernized Soviet weapons, which became a surprise for the Russians in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The effect of surprise helped to achieve a significant scale of damage.

According to sources, it is likely that the strike destroyed three air defense batteries located at the Dzhankoy airfield. The enemy may also have lost several helicopters, a fuel tanker, an ammunition depot, two radar stations, one electronic warfare station and a launcher of the Bastion coastal missile system.

As a reminder, the VIIRS/Suomi NPP satellite managed to detect six powerful fires at the Russian military airfield in Dzhankoy. The road to the village of Peremozhne, next to which the military airfield is located, is also reported to be blocked. The detonation of ammunition continues. Windows in the nearest houses are shattered.

It is noted that not only attack helicopters were based at the airfield. S-300/S-400 launchers were previously spotted there.

Earlier, we wrote that the Russian Black Sea Fleet has almost completely withdrawn from the temporarily occupied Crimea.
