On Tuesday, April 30, Russia once again attacked Kharkiv - there were hits to civilian infrastructure, as of 10:40 a.m., 2 dead and 6 injured were reported.
Apostrophe has collected information on what is known about the latest attack on Kharkiv.
The Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov wrote on his Telegram channel at 10:02 a.m. that explosions were heard in Kharkiv: "...the city is under attack of the aggressor".
At 10:19 a.m., he added that, according to preliminary data, there were two arrivals in the Kyivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts of the city. The strikes hit civilian objects.
"In Kyivskyi district, just like yesterday, there is a hit in the area of residential buildings. The information on casualties and damage is being updated," he said, noting that the threat of repeated dropping of KAB bombs remains in the city.
At 10:24 a.m., he updated the data, noting that one person was killed and two wounded:
"We have preliminary information about one dead and two wounded in Kholodnohirskyi district."
However, later, at 10:40 a.m., the Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration (RMA), Oleh Syniehubov emphasized that the number of casualties and injured had increased: "According to preliminary information, two people were killed and six were wounded as a result of the strikes on Kharkiv."
Oleh Syniehubov, also wrote that the enemy struck Kholodnohirskyi and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv: "Civilian infrastructure was hit. Strikes were recorded near the park area. The number of victims is being clarified. The information is being updated".
At 10:26 a.m., he said that the enemy used KAB bombs to strike:
"There is information about one killed and wounded. The number is being established. Specialized services are working."
Head of Kharkiv garrison Serhiy Marsel Melnyk noted that the occupants launched an air strike on Kharkiv from the territory of Belgorod Region: "The terrorists targeted civilian buildings."
At 09:55 a.m., the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of the threat of ballistic missile use in the Kharkiv Region, and later wrote about the KAB bombs. Serhiy Marsel Melnyk also warned of a threat to Kharkiv at 10:18 a.m., and at 10:22 a.m. and 10:28 a.m. he pointed to repeated launches. The air alert in Kharkiv was announced at 09:55 a.m.. As of 10:40 a.m., the alert continues.
Local Telegram channels showed footage of a column of smoke rising above the site of the hit.
Earlier, Apostrophe reported that four people, three of them children, were injured as a result of the bombing of Liptsy and Dergachi in Kharkiv Region.
