Russia hit the center of Kharkiv on Easter

Russia attacked Kharkiv again on May 5. This time it hit the city center. According to preliminary information, at least ten people were injured in the Russian attack and damage to civilian infrastructure was reported.

This was reported by the Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, on his Telegram channel.

According to him, it is the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city.

"The specialized services are continuing the inspection," Sinegubov added.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov noted on his Telegram channel that five people were injured in the residential area as a result of the strike. However, the number of wounded may increase.

"We also have a hit to a private house. Two people were injured," added the Mayor of Kharkiv.

The Russian occupiers organized the attack on the city on one of the most important religious holidays - Easter, which is celebrated in 2024 by Christians of the Eastern rite on May 5.

At 15:40 Syniehubov wrote on Telegram that, according to preliminary information, Russia hit Kharkiv with a KAB bomb. Currently, doctors are providing assistance to ten victims at two locations.

"The occupiers hit the private sector between houses, there are damaged households, the blast wave damaged windows. Apartment buildings and cars were damaged. The liquidation of the consequences is ongoing," he said.

Earlier, we reported that the Office of the Ukrainian Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights was damaged as a result of Russian attacks on Odesa.
