After Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced his illness during his visit to the United States, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico also began to talk about serious health problems. Both planned to come to Vladimir Putin for the parade, although Ukraine stated that it "cannot guarantee the safety of world leaders in Moscow."
"Apostrophe" will tell you more about this, citing sources.
Ukrainian journalist Denys Kazansky shared a screenshot of a message from a Russian Telegram channel stating that Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico had followed Vučić in complaining about his health. The message amused Kazansky, given that both leaders had planned to visit the Kremlin for the parade on May 9.
Russian channels, citing the news portal Tvnoviny, wrote that Fico had allegedly canceled his work program several times in recent days. The reason was supposedly due to Fico's serious health problems that arose after the assassination attempt, which he himself has repeatedly spoken about.
At the same time, it is worth noting that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky told journalists:
"Ukraine cannot guarantee the safety of world leaders in Moscow on May 9."
Interfax quotes the Ukrainian leader as saying:
"Our position is very simple towards all the countries that went or are going on May 9: we cannot be responsible for what is happening on the territory of the Russian Federation. They provide you with security, and therefore we will not give you any guarantees. Because we do not know what Russia will do on these dates. It can take various, let's say, steps on its part: arson, bombings, etc. And then blame us."
We will also recall that the President of Ukraine rejected the proposal of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin for a three-day ceasefire from May 8 to 10.
