"I won't say I told you so": Harris recalled her warnings about Trump

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris recalled warning American voters about President Donald Trump.

Huffpost writes about this.

Harris spoke at the Leading Women Defined Summit in Dana Point, California.

"There were a lot of things that we knew were going to happen, " Harris said. " I'm not going to say, 'I told you so.'"

After this address, the crowd erupted in applause and cheers.

Harris went on to describe what has changed since Trump took office. Huffpost writes: "... progress and policy have been rolled back, effective policies have been discarded, and people across the country have developed a sense of fear."

"We see people being silent. We see organizations being silent. We see capitulation to clearly unconstitutional threats," she continued.

In her speech, Harris also acknowledged that both fear and courage are contagious, adding that there were many brave women in the room:

"There is great power in this room. And yes, the world is watching. But more importantly, there are people who are counting on us to be kind, to be determined, and to be together."

Recall that the day before, the American leader announced his decision to introduce large-scale customs tariffs on the United States' trading partners, hoping to revive the American economy.

This move by the US leader shook the world. Read in "Apostrophe" how countries reacted to Trump's introduction of tariffs.

However, despite the decline in US President Donald Trump's approval rating, Ukrainian analyst and blogger Roman Shrik is convinced that global changes should not be expected by 2027.
