On Sunday, June 16, a road accident involving a truck and a bus carrying Ukrainians occurred in Romania. 15 people, including 13 children, were injured and four people were hospitalized.
This was reported by the Romanian edition of News.
It is noted that the bus with Ukrainians collided with a truck moving towards the municipality of Constanta. On the evening of Sunday, June 16, at 3:28 a.m., the Red Intervention Plan was activated, which allows for a more rapid response to major accidents.
According to the updated data, representatives of the Constanta Municipality Police noted that the vehicles involved in the accident were moving in the same direction, towards Constanta. At 5:45 a.m., the Red Intervention Plan was canceled.
There were 57 Ukrainian citizens on the bus: 42 minors and 15 adults. 15 people, including 13 children and 2 adults, were injured. Four people - two children and two adults - were hospitalized.
IPJ Constanta representatives noted:
"The drivers were tested with a breathalyzer to detect signs of possible presence of psychoactive substances. The results were negative."
The Romanian publication also mentioned that 49 people involved in the accident were taken to the city of Navodari in Constanta County to be picked up later by another bus. Rescuers reported:
"Ten adults and 39 children were picked up by minibuses and taken to a gym in Navodari, where another bus will pick them up."
