The European Union approved sanctions against Lukashenko's regime

Due to the incident with the forced landing of a Ryanair plane (FR4978 flight) in Minsk and the detention of the opposition journalist Roman Protasevich, the EU ambassadors approved sanctions against Belarus. 78 individuals and 7 legal entities from Belarus are subject to sanctions, as was reported by Radio Liberty journalist Rikard Jozwiak on his official Twitter page.

"EU ambassadors just approved the visa bans and asset freezes on 78 people & 7 entities responsible for the crackdown in #Belarus and the forced take down of the #Ryanair flight on 23 May. expected in the EU official journal on 21 June," he wrote.

The list of persons who are on the sanctions list will be known after the corresponding decision is published in the official journal of the European Union.

The document will be published and will enter into force on June 21.

It's worth noting that the participants of the G7 summit in the UK called for new elections in Belarus. They expressed concern regarding the violation of human rights by Belarusian authorities and insisted on holding free and fair elections in the country.
